A detailed guide to office party cleaning
Offices parties can be boring if they are not well-planned yet, fun and great for building better working relationships. They can also be a great chance to let loose and celebrate successes in the company. Unfortunately, every party must come to an end and when the dust settles, cleaning up can be tedious. Depending on the size and nature of the party, it can be a one-man job or something that needs a professional office cleaning company. Whichever one it is, here is a guide to help you deal with both pre and post-party cleaning:
Like any good party, take the time to clean and prep beforehand
It’s not just your home that requires a good cleanup before guests arrive. Whether you run a small business or a large corporation, it’s a good idea to clean things up before celebrations start. My advice would be to make a checklist of everything that needs to be cleaned. For example, you might need big trash cans all over the building so guests can dispose of paper plates and cups throughout the party or, you can get disposable mats and tablecloths to protect your carpets and tables.
Create a special committee to handle any post-party messes
This is especially helpful for offices that work on a small budget and cannot afford to hire a professional cleaning service. Before you host the party, get together a small group of employees who will handle the cleaning once guests leave. Each person can be assigned a special responsibility such as clearing out the trash cans or sweeping the floors. If possible, you can also create another committee to handle pre-party setups and cleaning.
If you can afford it, hire a professional service
For offices, that plan on hosting bigger parties, hiring a local cleaning company is always the fastest, cheapest, and less time-consuming option. I’ve discussed the efficiency of professional cleaners multiple times before but, it’s also worth mentioning that having someone else clean up for you can save your employees from having to handle the mess. At the end of the day, office parties are meant to be a time for your employees to relax and enjoy themselves and that’s pretty hard to do if they are busy scrubbing floors and clearing out trash cans.
